How To Make The Perfect Smoothie
A common issue I hear from friends and clients is that they cannot stick to a proper nutrition plan because of their hectic lifestyle.
“5 minutes of sleep each morning are precious”, “I don’t have the time to go to the supermarket”, “I am not hungry immediately after I wake up”, are probably the 3 most common excuses I hear (they are also the 3 excuses I use all the time!).
This is why I have decided to share with you my solution to this problem! Smoothies!
What is a smoothie?
A smoothie is basically a creamy beverage -kinda like a milkshake- with fruits and sometimes vegetables in it. It can be made in a blender and is not only super tasty but it is also extremely nourishing! In other words, it is the perfect way for you to start your day!
Learn below how you can have a super tasty and nourishing smoothie in under 2 minutes!
Step 1:
Choose your fruit! Wash them and cut them up in small pieces.
Step 2:
Place the fruit you have chosen each in their own polybags. You can see that in the photo below I have placed a banana and 5 strawberries in each bag). The choices are endless!
Step 3:
Place the bags with the fruit in the freezer. From that point forward you can grab a serving of your frozen fruit and use it instantly whenever you want to make another smoothie. Make sure that they have been cut into very small pieces and that they are well spread out in the freezer to prevent them from getting stuck in the blender!
Step 4:
Grab a serving of your frozen fruit, place them in the blender and add 1.5 glass of liquid of your choice! My personal favorites? Coconut milk, almond milk, regular milk or even green tea! Of course you can also add a juice of your choice. You just have to be careful when it comes to the extra calories especially if you are also using a protein supplement.
Step 5:
Add a few ice cubes and some seasoning like cinnamon or vanilla if you want and mix them all up in the blender!
Now pour your masterpiece in a shaker and off you go! No more excuses! Quickly – smartly – nutritionally. Enjoy!
